In 1965, Peggy, a hotel founder, falls into a lake and time-travels to 1978. There, she reunites with her teenage daughter, Alivy, only to discover that her business has been taken over by Corinna, and Alivy is living in poverty. Her former lover, Adrian, has also traveled through time. After they recognize each other, they join forces to protect Alivy and plan to reclaim the hotel for her. Along the way, they expose the villains' schemes – spreading rumors, hiring thugs to hurt people – and eventually get them all sent to prison. As the family of three begins to mend their relationships, Alivy is bravely pursued by a young man named Nathan. Caught between family love and romance, Alivy takes on both the hotel board evaluation and a rowing race on the same day – ultimately regaining full control of the hotel shares and securing third place in the race. Once the dust settles, Peggy and Adrian hold their wedding at Dionysus Lake, the very place that witnessed their fate, while Alivy finds love with Nathan, bringing the story to a happy ending.
