A dragon princess runs off with a man she thinks loves her. He steals her newborn baby's dragon blood in a forbidden ritual. Her father is murdered. Her name is wiped out. Chained and powerless, she crushes her father's last gift—a scale pendant—to call the only warrior still loyal. Her daughter's blood awakens, and the stolen power begins to return. She goes back to face the man who took everything from her. But when she stands before him—still weak, still hunted, with her daughter's life hanging by a thread—can she find a way to save her child, or will she lose the only thing she has left?
