Hunter's Game

Sera Blackwell, 21yearold 17thgeneration heir to the Blackwell vampirehunting family, lives undercover as a history undergraduate. Her mission is to gain the trust of vampire prince Damian Voss and assassinate him. Damian has known her true identity from the very first day — yet he keeps silent, for he needs a Blackwell heir as his ally against The Slumbering, an ancient vampire entity stirring beneath the campus. Three hundred years ago, the Voss and Blackwell bloodlines joined forces to seal it away, but the seal is now cracking. Sera uncovers that her father was not slain by vampires, but executed by her own mother for shielding a vampire child. To reinforce the seal, the two must perform a ritual merging their two races’ blood, whose price is a “voluntary death”. In the end, she steps into the fissure and discovers that The Slumbering is a human sacrifice entombed alive three centuries prior. Instead of strengthening the seal, she shatters it and sets the tormented soul free.
