Please Be My Accomplice

Scarlett, a con artist raised in an orphanage, was as close as a sister to her best friend Lily. After Lily’s mysterious death, it’s revealed she was the daughter of the powerful, wealthy Houston family. To avenge her, Scarlett assumes Lily’s identity and infiltrates the household, but immediately arouses suspicion from Lily’s half-brother, Ethan. Their battle of wits turns into love. Scarlett uncovers that their uncle, Richard, is scheming to seize the family fortune and hurting others, so she teams up with Ethan to strike back, ousting him and dividing the inheritance. Disillusioned by wealth, Scarlett chooses to walk away—only for Ethan, once the truth is confirmed, to secretly marry her.
