Seven Days to Judgment

Thirty-five years after seven-year-old Clara Wainwright returned from a seven-day disappearance, veteran detective Adrian Cross is drawn into a new series of staged abductions governed by the same countdown. With data analyst Chen Mei'en, he follows videotapes, performance spaces, and clues that seem designed for him alone. As the final day approaches, the investigation turns inward: Clara is no longer simply the child he failed to save, but the unseen architect forcing him to confront what his lifelong search refused to see.
